St. Louis Arc

Supporting People with Developmental Disabilities and Their Families Since 1950

Family Organization Workshop Series

Families that have a son, daughter or sibling with developmental disability often have needs above and beyond those of other families. The St. Louis Arc helps families with such activities as planning for the future, learning about available community resources, advocating for their family member and educating the community on the meeting the needs of people with developmental disabilities.

The 2009-2010 Family Organization Workshop Series addresses topics such as advocating for your school-age child, futures planning, legislative advocacy, long-term care options, employment services, social skills & safety awareness, and benefits training.

For more information about the Workshop Series or to suggest a meeting topic, contact Ann Mangelsdorf, assistant director of Family Supports at stlfamilies@slarc.org or call 314-817-2275.
