Supporting People with Developmental Disabilities and Their Families Since 1950

Family Workshop Series

Families that have a family member with a developmental disability often have needs above and beyond those of other families. The St. Louis Arc helps families with such activities as planning for the future, learning about available community resources, advocating for their family member and educating the community on meeting the needs of people with developmental disabilities.

The 2011 Family Workshop Series addresses topics such as advocating for your school-age child, future planning, legislative advocacy, community living options, employment services, social skills and benefits training.

For more information about the Workshop Series or to suggest a workshop topic, contact Ann Mangelsdorf, assistant director of Family Supports and Advocacy at stlfamilies@slarc.org or call 314-817-2275.
