Take advantage of all St. Louis has to offer! There are many ways the St. Louis Arc’s Leisure Services programs can help you get involved in the life of your community, meet new people, relax and enjoy yourself!
Cultural Happenings
Cultural Happenings participants get to experience many exciting St. Louis events and attractions. Each quarter, participants sign up for fun and interesting outings---from dinner and a movie to a Cardinals game to an evening at the casino! Transportation is provided from designated pick-up points. Events are filled on a first-come, first-served basis and are only open to participants who have registered for the program.

To register for Cultural Happenings, please print, complete and mail our Leisure Registration Form
, along with any necessary fees, and we will send you confirmation information. You must be a resident of St. Louis County to participate in Cultural Happenings.
You will receive confirmation of transportation arrangements for the Cultural Happenings event for which you register. Please do not go any pick-up/drop-off point unless you have a confirmation that transportation for that event is provided to or from that point!

Dance Clubs
Dance Clubs are a great way to get together with friends for some fun and entertainment!
All Dance Club participants must present a valid Dance Club membership card for admission. To register for Dance Club, print and mail the Leisure Registration Form
, along with necessary fees, and we will mail your Dance Club membership card in mid-August.

Next Chapter Book Clubs
The Next Chapter Book Clubs offer adolescents (13 years and older) and adults opportunities to read, learn to read, talk about books and make friends in a fun, community setting. Book Clubs meet at local bookstores and cafes to read and discuss the books they choose! Book Club participants range from those who read well to those who do not read at all.
Next Chapter Book Clubs are funded, in part, by a grant from the Greater St. Louis Book Fair.

Fitness in Motion Walking Clubs
Get moving with the St. Louis Arc! Participants, their friends and family members (ages 13 and older) are welcome. Build stamina and good health. You will track your steps with a pedometer, which is provided.
Walking Clubs meet at various parks on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 pm, May through July.
We will accommodate the novice as well as the faster-paced walker. The fee is $50 per 10-week session or $30 for a 3-week session. To register, please complete and mail the Leisure Registration Form

Focus on "ME" Manners & Etiquette Class
Learn the importance of good manners and social skills! Focus on “ME” teaches personal style and grooming, telephone manners, table manners and other social courtesies that young men and women can use as strong, confident adults.
Classes meet on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm for six-week sessions (Session I, October-November; and Session II, January – February) in the Maryland Heights area. The fee for each six-week session is $60. To register, please complete the Leisure Registration Form

Enjoy hands-on experience in the kitchen while you learn to prepare a variety of recipes and practice useful cooking skills. This class is designed for people ages 16 years of age and older. Classes meet on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8 pm for a six-week session, (Session I October-November, Session II January-February) in the Maryland Heights area. The fee for each six-week session is $60. The Artist in You
Explore your artistic talents in this class that teaches basic skills in drawing, sketching and painting techniques. You will create your own work of art to display in the end-of-session art exhibit. This class is designed for people ages 16 years of age and older. Classes meet on Fridays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm for a six-week session, May-June, at the Turner Center for the Arts in Maplewood.
