MISSOURI ADVOCACY ALERT--Take Action Now!
Thank you to all of you who contacted Governor Jay Nixon with your message: "No Cuts to the Community." You were heard...but the fight isn't over.
Governor Nixon released his budget proposal. So far, there have been no cuts to direct services for the Department of Mental Health. However, funding cuts are still being considered. The Missouri House and Senate must now decide what to do with the Governor's budget proposal.
Services for people with disabilities in Missouri are already under-funded. Wait lists exist for residential services, day services, transportation and family support services. St. Louis Arc asks you to share your personal story your legislators to advocate against these cuts! Use Legislator Lookup to find your legislators' contact information
.
You can also download a Contact Your Missouri State Senator and Representative flier to email and share with friends and family.
