Young Friends of St. Louis Arc
The Young Friends aims to raise awareness about the St. Louis Arc among the region’s young professionals and volunteers, while meeting new people, having fun and raising money through fundraising activities.
We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic young professionals interested in advancing the mission of the St. Louis Arc, which is "to help people with developmental disabilities, and their families, by providing a lifetime of high-quality services, family support, and advocacy."
Listed below are several ways to become involved with the Young Friends.
Event Planning and Logistics
Help us develop creative and fun ways to raise money for the St. Louis Arc through planning new events targeted to young professionals.
• Identify and book venues
• Work within the given budget
• Develop themes and ideas and execute event
Help us create the hype around our events. Work on the marketing material and social media.
• Maintain social media presence/content (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)
• Work with the Arc for event promotion and support
• Develop and create invitation designs and Young Friends logo
Development & Donor Cultivation
Develop the relationships we need to promote the Arc as well as increase the membership of the Young Friends of the Arc.
• Seek financial, product and/or service sponsorship for Young Friends events
Volunteer & Community Outreach
Work with Arc’s volunteer coordinator to sign up members to attend volunteer opportunities and develop new volunteer events.
