United Way Campaign
Each year, the St. Louis community shows incredible generosity by donating to the United Way Campaign. As a proud member agency, the St. Louis Arc was allotted $573,158 in 2017. Funding from the United Way allows the Arc to provide children’s therapies, recreation programs, vocational training, prevention, family education, and more. The annual fall fundraising campaign runs through early November and this year will be chaired by Michael Neidorff, chairman, president and CEO of Centene Corporation, and Mark Burkhart, managing principal of Burkhill Real Estate, LLC. The campaign goal has been set at $75.5 million.
The St. Louis Arc staff rallies around the United Way campaign each year with fun games and events. This year staff members have the opportunity to purchase bingo cards and ‘helping hands’ scratch offs in an effort to win prizes. They could also send a coworker a cinnamon roll and participate in an Arc scavenger hunt, with all proceeds being donated to the United Way campaign. The Arc’s goal is to have 100% participation from staff every year.
You Too Can Help
We thank the United Way of Greater St. Louis for their ongoing support of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and wish them a successful campaign. If you would like to help support the United Way, you may pledge online at HelpingPeople.org.
