As a professional life coach, I have the privilege of working one-on-one with young people as they transition to adulthood. I speak with individuals and their parents, to help them recognize their goals and develop a plan to make their dreams a reality. Each person’s goals are different, and occasionally life presents road blocks that make it difficult for individuals to reach those goals. However, there are ways to figure out how to get the results you want in life. I have found that when an individual remains focused and seeks out a support system, the barriers to success can be broken.

One way the St. Louis Arc can provide support during this transitional time is through classes and workshops. During the fall, CONNECT is offering a variety of classes and learning opportunities for individuals who would like help connecting to social, educational, and recreational opportunities in their community. One class in particular, Wholehearted Living, is an introductory course for people transitioning into adulthood. If someone you know is feeling apprehensive about their future, this seminar is a great step in the right direction to creating a fulfilling life.
