Each year, on the fourth Saturday in October, volunteers across the country participate in Make A Difference Day. Make A Difference Day is not only one of the largest, single days of service, it is also a call to action. This past weekend volunteers answered the call by engaging with residents and families at the annual Arctoberfest. Employees from Centene Corporation, students from University of Missouri St. Louis, members of Saint Louis University’s Delta Sigma Pi fraternity, and the Arc’s Young Friends gathered at Dautel Circle for Arctoberfest!
Residents, families, and friends gathered for the annual Arctoberfest to participate in fall themed activities, food, games, and music. Volunteers assisted with setting up, leading activities, taking photos at the photo booth, and assisting with food and drinks. Despite the rain outside, attendees enjoyed the festivities and the event couldn’t have been successful without the help from our many volunteers.
As the Arc and our programs continue to grow, we are always a need of extra assistance. For those of you who are not currently volunteering, we encourage you to explore the rewarding and enjoyable opportunities we have to offer. For those who are already making an impact with our programs, thank you for all the great work you do; without you, we would not be where we are.
