Request a St. Louis Arc Speaker

We sat down with the St. Louis Arc’s Recruiting Team to learn more about the hiring process and what the Arc is looking for in new hires for 2017.

How often does the St. Louis Arc hire?

With over 600 full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees, we are always looking for quality, dedicated staff. We hold Open Interviews monthly, with our next sessions on Wednesday, January 18 and Thursday, January 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the St. Louis Arc Family Center.

What do you look for in new hires?

As an agency, we are looking for people who are dedicated, willing to learn, and want to make a difference in someone’s life.

What can someone expect when attending Open Interviews?

Candidates should bring with them a copy of their resume and driver’s license. They will meet with a member of the Human Resources team for an initial interview. While every Open Interview is different, the interviews typically last between 30 and 60 minutes. Depending on the position, candidates could meet with a hiring manager the same day, and may have a potential job offer before they leave.

What is the Arc Advantage?

The “Arc Advantage” is what makes us special; it is our identity. It guides our decision making and ensures that we will continually earn our reputation as the most relationship-focused social services organization.

What are the benefits of joining the St. Louis Arc and becoming part of the Arc Advantage?

The top benefits are the Arc culture and our ability to make a difference in people’s lives. In December we had an employee who celebrated their 35th anniversary with the Arc! Many of our employees have been with the agency most of their career and we’re excited to bring in new hires to work alongside our veterans.
