Make A Difference Day

This Saturday, October 22, we celebrate Make A Difference Day. On this day, volunteers across the country will work towards the common goal of improving the lives of others in their communities.  Make A Difference Day is not only one of the largest, single days of service, it is also a call to action.  On October 22, people everywhere can have a positive impact on their community through one act of service, no matter how small.  This day demonstrates the tremendous impact one day of service can have, but what about the other 364 days of the year?

At the St. Louis Arc, we invest an incredible amount of time and resources in order to support those we serve and their families.  Volunteers are instrumental in providing the quality services we are able to offer.  With over sixty programs offered by our Leisure department, our new Active Aging program, and a multitude of special events, none of what we do would be possible without the contributions from our over 1,200 volunteers who help us each year.

As the Arc and our programs continue to grow, we are always a need of extra assistance. For those of you who are not currently volunteering, we encourage you to explore the rewarding and enjoyable opportunities we have to offer.  For those who are already making an impact with our programs, thank you for all the great work you do; without you, we would not be where we are.
