St. Louis Arc Young Friends

Make A Difference, Have Fun

There are many reasons why people choose to give their time and volunteer for an organization. From students fulfilling volunteer hours to retirees looking to stay connected, volunteers have one thing in common – they want to make a difference. The Arc provides year-round volunteer opportunities to have fun and engage with participants. What kind of difference do you want to make?

Upcoming Opportunities

Many of the Arc’s programs depend on volunteers to be successful and offer a variety of activities for you to choose from. This fall, three programs in particular offer unique, engaging, and meaningful opportunities for volunteers.

Music Classes

Volunteers in the Arc’s music classes assist the music therapist with distributing instruments and assist participants with playing and following along with the songs.

Bowling

With six different leagues, there’s an opportunity for everyone! Help keep score, facilitate the flow of the game, encourage players, and assist players in bowling when needed.

Dances

Get your dancing shoes ready and join in on the fun at two different locations. Chaperones of the dances help check-in attendees, run the Karaoke room, encourage fun and participation, and assist the program leader with set-up, drinks and snacks, and clean up.

Grab A Friend or Two or Six

Individuals, couples, families, and groups are all welcome to volunteer with the Arc. In addition to recurring opportunities, the Arc often has one-time events that are great for groups. Coming up in October is our annual Arctoberfest! This event, held at Dautel Circle in Creve Coeur is an exciting day of carnival games, food, and fun.
