A series of events designed to inspire young adults to plan for the future!

Transition-age young adults (16-25) sometimes need extra guidance as they plan for their future. These fun Bounce Forward events provide opportunities for young adults to network with peers who are looking to find a friend, a roommate, an apartment, or who just want to start thinking about their future.  The four events will be held in various locations to help promote casual conversations and opportunities to meet others with similar interests.

Bounce Forward events will highlight programs and services the Arc offers for young adults transitioning to adulthood and living independently.  The events will also offer additional resources for individuals and their families to help them ‘Bounce Forward’ into adulthood.

We recently sat down with several young adults who have had success living independently. Jimmy is an Arc participant who is living on his own. Throughout the larger discussion he shared with us his successes and his challenges. Jimmy is actively seeking more opportunities to make friends and has been attending the Arc Meet Ups in hopes of expanding his social network.

To stay up to date or connect with your peers, join the Bounce Forward Facebook group. This group is a place for transition-age young adults in the St. Louis area to network and start planning for the future. Our hope is this group will allow young adults to discuss the rewards and challenges of finding employment, living independently, making friends, and growing up. Adulting is hard; having a network makes it easier!

    Hi there,
Our daughter would love and benefit from the new group “Bounce Forward”…Unfortunately, we don’t do FB! I’m hoping there is another way she can tap in to be a part of this cool social group.
